Decals

How to apply a Decal?

What You'll Need:
- Squeegee/Credit Card

Steps:

1. Clean the area where the decal will be applied. Just water will do, but water and any mild cleanser will be best. Let the area dry. *Do not use Windex or similar products because it will leave a residue behind that will prevent the decal from adhering well*

2. Prepare the sticker for application by firmly rubbing a squeegee or credit card across the clear/transparent tape. This will remove any air bubbles that may have formed and makes the sticker cling to the transfer tape.

3. Slowly peel the white paper backing off the decal. Be careful not to rip the decal.

*If some part is not releasing from the backing paper, lay that part back down use a Squeegee/Credit Card or finger to rub over that spot a few times to adhere to transfer tape*

4. Slowly lower the decal onto the surface and rub it firmly in place with a squeegee or credit card. Use a level if needed.

NOTE: If the decal sticks to itself during the application, simply peel it off slowly and carefully

5. Smooth out any air bubbles using your hands, a squeegee, or credit card. Be sure to work from the center of the decal to the outside.

5. Peel the transfer paper(the transparent sheet that sits on top of the decal) and you are done!

Transfers

How to apply Full-Color Transfers?

What You'll Need:
- Heat Press

- Waxed Kraft Paper/Parchment Paper

Steps:

1. Pre-press to remove any wrinkles or moistures from the textile for a couple of seconds.

2. Place the transfer paper on the textile and cover it with parchment paper or waxed kraft paper.

3. First Pressing Temperature & Time
    •100% Cotton: 285-310°F for 30 seconds
    •100% Polyester: 250-285°F for 30 seconds
    •Blend Fabric: 250-285°F for 30 seconds

4. After the first pressing, set the textile on the side let it COOL DOWN completely. Once the textile is COOL DOWN, start peeling the transfer from the corner, be sure to apply some pressure, and roll it off in a slow and steady motion.
(Adjust to a harder pressure and repress again if the transfer is not sticking to the textile)

5. Second Pressing Temperature & Time (VERY IMPORTANT)
    •100% Cotton: 285-310°F for 30 seconds
    •100% Polyester: 250-285°F for 30 seconds
    •Blend Fabric: 250-285°F for 30 seconds

(To ensure a Matt Finish and Good Washability, it is very important to repress it again)

6. If you are using "Parchment Paper", peel off the paper when it is completely COOL after the second pressing.

If you are using "Waxed Kraft Paper", peel off the paper immediately after the second pressing.

7. Lightly stretch the fabric after removing the parchment paper or kraft paper while on the press. (This step will minimize cracking after washing)

Wash & Care
These steps are very important if you want the transfer to stay on the textile for a long time

(Full-color transfer can last up to 50 washes)

  • Turn textile inside out before wash

  • Wash in cold water

  • Use mild detergent

  • Do not use any bleaching materials

  • Hang dry

  • Do not iron
